Friday is D day at Sincil Bank with most of the staff learning their fates following relegation from the Football League. The staff will learn whether they are to keep their job in a meeting at some point during the day. LCM’s hearts go out to them.
With the Directors not in a position to boost the clubs finances, as well as Steve Tilson bemoaning a budget down by a third (with half of that tied up in 6 contracted players) cuts are the only option.
Although there is no doubting the top heavy administrative nature to the Imps in recent years, we will undeniably miss some of those who are set to leave. Cuts will come across the board with the administrative, Youth and Commercial functions all be scaled back
We wish them well; many are Imps professionally and passionately and it is it is a tough economic climate unless you have a golden parachute or an agent to excuse others failures.
