The Imps have won only 6 of 36 matches at Gigg lane to the hosts credible 18 with a 0-2 (ATT 2,554 with 198 IMPS) defeat last season fairly typical. We deserved better in all honesty with a spirited rearguard action until Rob Lowe fired home with 5 minutes to go thanks to a Danny Hone deflection. Substitute Andy Worrall then repaid the entrance fee in full with a fine strike from the right hand side of the box. Ominously both play today, but most thinking Imps would take 2-0 irrespective of results elsewhere.
