Misfit Imp Needs The Southampton Saints

Southampton have struck a loan deal that sees two adopted prodigal sons of Lincolnshire united at of all places The Saints.  After Sven failed to see the Leicester light, Nigel Adkins beat stiff competition to sign fallen wide boy Dany N’Guessan on loan until the end of the season after a spell back in Lincs at Scunthorpe.  Once again things do not appear to have worked out for a player that divided the Imps faithful after a move from Boston United.

Dany for all his flamboyance on the field, and this lad certainly has the talent, Dany boy needs a shoulder to lean on and a gaffer to keep his confidence up.  The wing wonder was brilliant at times for us – described by Vic Erzantarz as Le Fusée Rouge – the red flair. His pace and power would see him leave players in his wake as he cut inside to deliver a payload into the top corner.

This in a struggling side that saw him starved before the fans and the management drove him out long before his agents video antics. Certainly Dany was destined for better things and the Imps got lucky when Leicester realised he was under 24 and confronted with a tribunel hearing and competition; agreed to a last minute fee. A deal that saw six figures plus add ons come the Imps way may now end as that unless Southampton are prepared to pay a million plus you feel.

Then again  Saints fans if your manager is a motivator this loan to the end of the season could be priceless.  Fortunately Nigel Adkins, a miracle worker in Lincolnshire will know exactly how to treat one of her prodigal sons.  In the right side and in the right role Dany N’Guessan is premiership class.  Then again Adkins is potentially the next best football manager to come out of Lincolnshire since Graham Taylor and look at his heavenly rise.
