Ex Nottingham Forest striker David Johnson did visit Sincil Bank, but wage demands in excess of £10,000 a week soon put City off. Watford striker Bruce Dyer found himself without a club at the end of last season but once again wage demands (in the region of £3,000 a week) also put off Keith. Finally an enquiry about Gregg Blundell who played for Keith whilst the big man was in charge at Northwich Victoria came to nothing as Doncaster want £125,000 for the out of favour striker.
Keith is still confident of adding some quality to the forward line in the wake of Gary taylor Fletcher and Simon Yeo's desertion and hopefully a decision will be made later this week over up to seven players currently in talks with Keith.
