BARNACLES OF BOTCHILISM - v Shrewsbury
Last updated : 08 February 2011 By Kris P Bacon
Dare I say the Imps are back in action tonight as they are taking on Welsh side Shrewsbury City, the smallest urban sprawled village in Wales. Shrewsbury's claim to fame is that they play at Greenhous Meadow, named after Al Gore, that well known resident of Shrewsbury and ex Vice President of the United States.
But anyway we aren't here to talk about Vice Presidents of the United States, we are here to talk about the Mighty Imps. Tonight they are without veteran ex Manchester United striker Ashley Grimes who hit the referee with his walking stick on Saturday and broke it so he is waiting for another one. If he gets it, he's in tonight, if not, he'll be out on Saturday. Delboy Trotter, the widely experienced suitcase handling striker and serial goal entrepreneur is expected to stay up front for the Faithful.
I like Victorian sponge cakes as I was telling anyone who listened on Saturday, but sometimes I like Gingerbread Lemon Gateaus, especially with a cup of Darjeeling. I wonder what cakes the Mighty Imps like and would they eat them before a big match?
