Oxford had a fantastic first season back in Npower League 2 as the fans came flocking to put them second only behind Bradford in the charts, but still ahead of Champions Chesterfield. Gillingham, Southend, Port Vale and Shrewsbury also managed to average over 5,000 in what was described as a tough climate.
