Calls for Keith head premature

Should have our full support - Keith
Following a string of poor results some sections of the Lincoln crowd are calling for the head of gaffer Keith Alexander. Indeed the Lincolnshire Echo saw fit this evening to run an article questioning whether or not people believed Keith should retain his position as manager.

Lincolncity-mad feel this is far, far too premature for words. Keiths sterling work over the past two years turned City from relegation favourites to promotion candidates for two seasons on the bounce. Four bad results and all that seems to be forgotten.

Keiths shrewd transfer sense and equally as shrewd tactical judgement (away from home) are both qualitites that lower league managers do not have in abundance. Garty Taylor Fletcher, Simon Yeo, Richard Butcher, Ben Futcher and Gareth McCauley are all shining examples of Keiths top notch business sense.

Then theres ritual demolitions of Scunthorpe in the play offs, Derby in the cup too mention just three grand moments. If it wasn't for a stroke of bad luck against Huddersfield last season City may well have been playing League Championship One football this season. Now just four defeats into a new season fans want the man responsible for the most succesful two year spell in recent memory out of the door.

So we here at lincolncity mad urge ALL City fans to get behind one of the saviours of this football club, and show the gaffer that he has our backing 100%. If the players don't perform that cannot be solely the managers fault and if sections of the fans do want Keith out, I suggest they switch allegiance to a team like Newcastle United who really do axe managers after just one or two games.

Long live Big Keith.
