Michael Gordon found himself in this weeks Team of the Week for League Two, and has already promised that there is more to come.
One of the few good things to come out of Saturday’s debacle was the impressive debut made by the 25 year old wide man, who at times gave ex Imp Lee Ridley a torrid time.
"As I get more match fit and used to the tempo of the game I think there will be more getting at players, a lot more end product and a lot more goals.”
Gordon drifted away towards the end of the game as 10 man City looked to hang on. However as far as permanent signings go, Gordon is officially the 1st ‘Chris Sutton’ signing and he appears to be a very shrew one.
"It was a little bit hard in the second half when we went down to 10 men and I couldn't express myself as much, but I know there is a lot more to come from me”
Gordon started his career at Arsenal alongside players such as Steve Sidwell, Jermaine Pennant and James Harper. However he drifted through the league system with MK Dons before finding himself at a succession of non league sides.
However he showed a steely determination to return to the league game wiser and stronger, and is looking at grasping the chance with both hands.
“To be honest I don't think that it's that much of a jump (playing in League Two). I used to be at Arsenal and MK Dons so it's just getting back into the routine of training every day because I have been training two days a week in the Ryman League."
