Striker Rene Howe, scorer of 5 City goals this season, has returned to his parent club Peterborough Utd.
Howe played his last game for City as a substitute int he 3-1 win over Northwich on Saturday, but an alledged groin injury has curtailed his loan spell here.
Chris Sutton has also confirmed that there will be no move for the striker once his loan spell officially expires on January 1st.
Howe has had a colourful time at Lincoln, in particular grabbing the ball from Chris Fagan for the first of two quickfire Imps goals in the 2-0 win at Valley Parade earlier in the year.
However an alledged altercation with fans in the City centre after our defeat against Shrewsbury left many wondering if he thought he might be a bit better than the club.
In recent weeks he appears to have lost the edge that made him the perfect target man, and with Delroy Facey now in on loan Sutton has decided to let Howe go back to London Road.
