Imps assistant boss Iffy Onuora has agreed a two year extension to his contract to help Peter Jackson in his quest for promotion.
Onuora joined in February and was in charge while manager Peter Jackson underwent cancer treatment last season.
Imps chairman Steff Wright told the club's official website: "Iffy's done a fantastic job under the circumstances and I'm very pleased he's on board.
"I've enjoyed working with him in Peter's absence and will be looking forward to working with them both."
Peter Jackson is thought to consider Iffy's signature as the most important he'll get all season.
