The Imps have signed Anthony Pulis on a months loan from Southampton, and the midfielder played in Saturdays win over Macclesfield.
The son of Stoke boss Tony becomes the second signing by new Imps manager Chris Sutton.
The former Wales Under-21 international went straight into the squad for the trip to Macclesfield on Saturday, and helped his new side to a hard fought 1-0 win.
Sutton told local media "He likes a tackle but has a good brain and can play."
Pulis has previously had a loan spell with county neighbours Grimsby Town, and will be hoping to put himself back into the reckoning at Southampton.
"Myself and Ian Pearce saw him play a couple of weeks ago. He covers many positions which I think is useful for us at the moment as we don't have a lot of cover in a number of areas, It's a good opportunity for him to come in and I'm sure he'll do very well."
