With the Imps offering new deals to just three players, namely Danny Hone, Luke Howell and Andy Hutchison, everything that is not nailed to the floor is either up for sale or available to leave in order to cut costs. That goes for coaches too as the youth and reserve set ups brace themselves for the worst..
Kanyuka, Patrick and Scott Spencer will leave on May 31st , with Joe Anderson, Drewe Broughton, Delroy Facey, Jamie Clapham, Paul Green and Cian Hughton, Clark Keltie and keeper coach, Paul Musselwhite all going on June 30th.
Only Danny Hone Luke Howell and Andy Hutchinson survive the cull to earn new deals, whilst 6 other players are also still under contract and subject to pay rises unless we can out them. Whether the Imps get a fee for Fusini Anyon, Carayol or McCallum or not, the underperformers will both be in line for a rise as they enter the second year of their deals.
Relegation clauses also mean pay cuts on the positive side with Watts, O’Keefe and Anyons being told they can leave for free should a club come in for them. Steve Tilson shows faith in just two of his signings, Howell and the hapless Fuseini.
