Lincoln City season ticket holders are today rubbing their eyes after purchasing Wednesday’s Lincolnshire Echo. Those paying up front for a BSP Conference season ticket at Sincil Bank are of course paying the same price as they did in League 2 last year. However the club are being forced to reduce their pay on the day pricing policy. Strip out the 'ealier bird' deal and the prices are the same as last term.
It’s a question of the left hand not knowing what the right is doing as usual. Despite the club's cash call begging the punters to get down the bank and renew early they are offering season tickets at the same price as last season, yet they are now reviewing their match day ticket prices according to the Echo. Did they think we would not notice?
Season ticket holders are being asked to cough up good money to help the club yet in return the club is unable to offer a reciprocal undertaking as usual. The club also let season ticket holders down on the amount of discounted match days last season as many will remember.
We do not want to continually have a go at those running our club, but from where we sit in LCM Towers the lunatics are well and truly running the asylum. Come on instead of cuts cuts cuts let's have some proactive leadership shall we? Consistency, clarity and Community - now they are the three C’s we need.
