Jerome played for City on Friday in the 1-1 draw with Lincoln Utd and despite not impressing has earned himself a second chance tonight against Sheffied Utd. With the hunt for a new striker apparently winding down without the big name signing we expected The Imps are still a little short of strikers.
Sam Jerome is brother of Birmingham City striker Cameron, both hailing from Huddersfield. Sam enjoyed his youth football at Leeds Utd where he was extremel;y highly rated amongst the Elland Road traibning staff. However with contracts hard to come by he was released, and now finds himself at Sincil Bank fighting to save his professional career.
He takes his place on the bench for tonights friendly against Sheffield Utd (kick off 7.30pm), in an otherwise unsurprising team for Lincoln. However Sheffield Utd will include new signing Ched Evans who played Premiership football for Man City last season.
