Although the Imps will no doubt be disappointed at the postponement as they look to pull away from the bottom of League Two, both Macclesfield and the match official should be congratulated on their early decision which saved both players and fans from any unnecessary travelling.
No decision has yet been made on the date of the rearranged fixture, which is now likely to be played on a Tuesday night.
