Although the smart money is on ex Pilgrims pair,Paul Hurst and Rob Scott, being announced as the new managers of Grimsby Town at a press conference tomorrow, the shock exit of Rotherham boss Ronnie Moore could also be of significance.
The ex Pilgrims pair had stated on Saturday that they had not been approached by Grimsby yet it is rumoured that they will guests of honour for tonight’s Gateshead match. But Hurst and Scott were both popular players at Rotherham, with Hurst still working at the club part time.
Although everyone in Codland is already counting their chickens, a source at Rotherham has suggested the Millers were not out of this one. Whether speedy discussions this afternoon have altered what appears to be set in fish ice is another matter............................
