Morgan Injury Fear

Losing Morgs would be a massive blow to the Imps push up the table
The talented defender was due to undergo tests yesterday with Imps manager Keith Alexander hoping for good news ahead of the basement clash with Cambridge United.

Morgs has been struggling for the a two months after injuring his ankle during the home defeat against Rushden in August.

"Paul has been feeling the injury for the past four or five matches, but he's managed to play," said Keith. "He's not been training during the week and has just been coming in on a Saturday and playing.

"I've always said I expect my players to play with knocks, but sometimes it just gets too much and it needs sorting out. You have to look at the long-term situation because we need him to be playing. He was going to see a specialist yesterday and have a scan. I'm hoping I will get the results either later today or tomorrow. "

"It does make him a doubt for Saturday's trip to Cambridge. But until we know exactly what is wrong, it's impossible to say how long it may be."

If surgery is required, then Morgan could be out of action until the New Year.
