Lincoln City chief executive Dave Roberts has confirmed winger Dany N'Guessan in is talks with Leicester.
The controversial 21-year-old Frenchman is out of contract at the end of June and has rejected a new deal on two occasions.
Roberts told local media: "Leicester are confident they can sign Dany and in due course will probably make us an offer."
Leicester are one of a host of clubs interested in signing the player, with Sheff Wednesday and Leeds Utd in the chase. However Imps fans don't believe that N'Guessan will make the grade with a small section chanting 'Championship, You're having a laugh' during the last game. However Dave Roberts confirmed the Foxes were close to a deal.
"Leicester have said they haven't done a deal with the player yet but are close to doing one."
N'Guessan, who has turned down three offers of fresh terms at Sincil Bank, has stated he wants to play for a bigger club.
As N'Guessan is under 24 the Imps could land a six-figure fee in compensation.
