Asked if the gentleman's agreement between the two clubs would be in jeopardy, Everton Spokesman, Ian Ross, told us, “I wouldn't have thought so. Although the arrangement was sanctioned by Walter Smith, it was, in essence, a deal put together by the youth side of the club.”
He continued, “So, logically, the new manager should be receptive to the arrangement.”
The deal between Everton and Lincoln is still in its infancy, but is continuing to develop according to Imps Chairman Rob Bradley. It is hoped that Alan Buckley will be able to establish a close relationship with the in-coming Goodison manager (David Moyes, it seems).
