He said: "It was a big three points for us. These head-to-head games at this stage of the season are going to be important.
"I think it is fair to say they threw everything at us in the last five minutes. Overall we dealt reasonably well with the long throw-ins and the threat which they had.
"I have been saying for some weeks that we look like we are going to score goals as we did. Davide was fantastic again for us. Always looks a threat, always looks like he has goals in him and he came up trumps again.
"With it being 1-1 at half time people might have expected us to sit deep in the second half. I said to the players that we had to take risks, we pushed forward and got two ahead. Generally I was really pleased."
