Chris Sutton is pleased with the progress being made by injury victims Adam Watts and Paul Green - but the Lincoln boss will not be taking any gambles on their fitness. Watts is recovering from a broken leg while fellow defender Green is on the way back from a fractured metatarsal. The duo have trained every day since the squad reported back for duty last week and could be in line to face Staines Town in a pre-season friendly on Saturday. Sutton is glad to see they are on the mend but is mindful there could be setbacks before the League Two curtain-raiser against Rotherham on August 7. "There is an issue at the back and we will have to see how Adam and Paul cope in pre-season," said Sutton. "Adam is doing okay. He had a serious injury and I am still a little cautious because we don't want him having set-backs. He does need games under his belt and the same applies to Paul. "If they are fit then they will be in a position to be in and around the team but we are going to have to think long and hard to see if they are ready first and I certainly won't take any unnecessary gambles."
