Re: Simon Weaver
Yes, he was reasonably popular - certainly more than the guy who replaced
him - Lee Howey, an "older" player with bags of league experience! Many of
us would have preferred to keep Simon as he was definitely one for the
future. Played a blinder in our win over Stoke the year before last.
I was personally disappointed when we lost Simon. He did a good job for us
as a blocker. He's fast, and provided great cover for our other central
defender (Terry Angus - another great blocker but feeling his age a bit
now). Simon's main weakness is in his distribution after he has won the ball
- he's a bit too keen on hoofing it out for a throw or an untargeted belt up
field.
He is certainly Conference standard, and I feel he may struggle in Division
Three unless he receives some good coaching.

Re: Simon Weaver
A good defender. He only left the 'Boro because the club owed him money
after playing a certain number of games and the club didn't pay him. In my
opinion he was Man of the Match against Stoke City in the replay of the F.A
Cup.
I think you have got a good deal out of Simon.

Re: Simon Weaver
Simon Weaver - name rings a bell, but can't put a face to the name. I'm
pretty sure he never made any sort of impact at the club, perhaps Reserves
at best.
Next up..
"Promising" midfield youngster SCOTT WILLIS
But can Droylsden followers confirm Imps' supporters high hopes for the
player?
