City have swooped for Fluham youngsters Michael Uwezu and Matt Saunders on one month loan deals, and both went straight into the squad for the 4-0 FA Cup defeat at Bolton.
Uwezu began his career with Arsenal's academy before moving to Fulham. Uwezu broke easily into Fulham's academy and moved up to the reserves for the 2008-09 season. After 11 goals in 18 games for the reserves Uwezu signed his first professional contract at the end of the 2008-09 season. He was three times an unused substitute for Fulham's Europa League group matches against CSKA Sofia and Basel.
Saunders is highly rated at Fulham, and it's hoped his range of passing will fit nicely with Suttons new 4-5-1 formation.
"Matt is a wonderful passer of the ball, has good movement, while Michael has that pace that will help us unsettle defences and he works hard."
