The Imps on-loan pair Nathan Baker, 18, and Eric Lichaj, 20, have had their deals with the Imps extended until the new year.
Aston Villa manager Martin O’Neill has allowed the highly rated youngsters to remain here until Chris Sutton can start his proper rebuilding plan in January.
However despite the fact the duo are at Sincil Bank until 2 January although neither will be allowed to play in the FA Cup.
England Under-19 international centre-half Baker has played three times since his move but American full-back Lichaj has featured just twice after a sending off against Morecombe. He’ll be back in contention for the visit of Port Vale next Tuesday.
