Ben was always described as a 'striker in the Keith Alexander mould', so its unsurprising that the 28 year old has signed for the Moss Rose outfit on a one year deal.
The 6ft 4ins frontman was out of contract at City, where he spent the last two seasons and scored 18 goals in 43 starts. At almost a goal every 2 games his ratio wasn't actually as bad as some fans might think.
Wright also spent six years in Norway and scored for Viking FC against Chelsea in a UEFA Cup tie in 2002.
Town manager Keith Alexander told the club's website: "He's a big strong lad who can score 15 goals a season which is important in League Two."
