Versatile Bloomer made his name at City as a man of many positions. Defence, Midfield and even up front Bloomer has often impressed in his variety of roles. With the exit of Mark Bailey his name will be in the frame for the right back slot, and his signature is one the management will be glad to have.
McCombe signed from Scunthorpe in a controversial switch last season. He came in to replace Simon Weaver and soon cemented his slot in the back three. However a misjudged tackle in the play off semi final allowed Andy Booth to dive and win the penalty ultimately costing the Imps a spot in League Championship One next season. However with Ben Futchers future looking uncertain the height of McCombe will be an added bonus next season.
