LCM has been tipped off that Danny Hone may be on the verge of a half season loan deal at crisis club Darlington.
Hone has fallen out of favour under Chris Sutton, as has anyone who was here prior to him arriving. Anyhow a year ago he was being linked with a potential £1m move to Notts Forest - now he's being linked with a free move to the leagues 92nd club. How things change.
Darlington's financial plight hasn't really bothered many outside the north east, as along with Rotherham they seem to enjoy the boom and then bust cycle. However that particular cycle is now at the 'bust' stage again, with them being forced to field Kevin Gall up front. Tragic.
However it seems they would like to add some steel to the back four, and see our talented defender as the best bet. While we play around as Aston Villa's nursery development team, they appear to want players with experience of League Two to help their cause - and who can blame them?
So it appears that there is the potential for us to lose an established first team member in January. Hopefully Villa have got another centre back they can loan us to cover his position as well.
