Rotherham have released ex Manchester City and Grimsby Town centre half Nick Fenton along with Kevin Ellison putting Mansfield York and the Imps on alert. The classy  6' 3", 31 year old central defender would be just what we need at the heart of our defence along side Danny Hone if he signs.

 

The Millers have also released Luke Ashworth, Jamie Green, young pro Grant Darley and ex Imp winger Kevin Ellison. The experienced Fenton has spent three years with the Millers and made 134 appearances including 36 this term.  

 

Kevin Ellison 32, has not lost his aggression although the psychological barrier for him and Imps fans might be too much to overcome. No doubt he could do a job at the Blue Square level after some passionate displays on loan at Bradford towards the end of the season..
