Director Bob Dorrian hinted last week at the unveiling of two new signings today, and LCM is led to believe one of those will be ex Aldershot loanee Jake Robinson.
Aldershot have been linked with Robinson, but fear that they may be priced out of any move for the 20 year old. Shrewsbury Town are also being mentioned as potential suitors, but LCM has it on very good authority that Robinson will be one of the players unveiled as an Imp, possibly by the end of today.
Robinson is both a striker and a winger and a product of Brightons youth system. He became the clubs youngest ever scorer at the age of 16 in a cup match against Forest Green, just three weeks after making his debut against Middlesborough.
On 28 October 2006, Robinson scored his first hat-trick for Brighton in a League One game against Huddersfield , the first hat-trick by an Albion player in nearly five years. He scored a second hat-trick in the FA Cup First Round game against Northwich Victoria a month later.
After finding first-team opportunites difficult at Brighton, Robinson joined Aldershot on loan for a second loan spell until the end of the season . He scored on his second debut for Aldershot during the 3–2 defeat against Exeter. He made 19 appearances in total, scoring four goals.
