After missing out on Gareth Evans, Lincoln are now being linked with a second move for young Peterborough forward Alfie Potter.
City were linked in May with a move for Potter and fellow Posh striker Liam Hatch. Hatch recently sealed a season long loan switch with ambitious Blue Square side Luton Town, but as yet Potter hasn't made his expected move.
Peterborough are believed to have placed a £25,000 price on the forward, with Kettering Town owned by controversial figure Imraam Ladak, willing to match that valuation. Despite spending time there on loan it's thought that Potter would prefer a move into League football, and there is no comparison between facilities at Sincil Bank and the dilapidated Rockingham Road ground at Kettering.
Barry Fry has been attempting to generate a degree of interest in Potter, but recently everything has gone quiet, and Peter Jackson is a known admirer of the blond, 5'7 winger cum striker. However with lots of time left between Barnet at home and now The Imps are in no rush to overspend on any player.
