The On off saga with Notts County central defender Graeme Lee looks set to finally end according to a solid County source with The Magpies now eager to hold onto the former Bradford City Captain.
The stumbling block had been the players wages but the chance of a payoff had put both Lincoln and relegation rivals Barnet back in with a shout. The Imps had allegedly been prepared to grant a deal to the end of this season plus another two on top with the payoff cushioning a substantial drop in wages.
But in a late twist Paul Ince now sees the player as part of his plans again, after initially appearing to freeze the former Bradford Captain out.
This explains why Chris Travers referred to a left back cum centre half in Saturday’s interview – no doubt a veiled reference to Stephen Hunt.
