Ex Imp Mark Bailey is also at Macclesfield and Weaver will hopefully be lining up alongside him for tomorrows clash with Yeovil at Huish Park.
Weaver admitted he was relieved to finally secure the switch.
"Things have dragged on since I asked for a transfer last month so I'm pleased to be given this chance.
"It is a big game to make your debut in. But there is no pressure on me. I am at Macc for a month and I will do the best I can. I've always got a big appetite for the game, and even more so now after not playing in the first team for a while. The batteries are fully recharged.
"It's been frustrating knowing teams have been making enquiries about me, but it doesn't seem as if they have followed it up. I tried not to get too excited about it because you end up setting yourself up for a big fall. But it is in my own hands now.
"It will be a big help to have a familiar face in Mark Bailey playing next to me, and I am sure he will get me settled in quickly. I also know striker Mike Sheron because he lived in the same village as my parents, near Doncaster."
