The intrepid bunch of fundraisers that collected over £1000 for the benefit of The Imps are planning another major fundraising event in the near future. Mark Lancaster, one of the founders of the newly christened Lincoln City Fans Independent has outlined a plan for an event at the end of July this year. In an interview for Planet Imp he said
"We've got something in the pipeline at the minute which we feel will generate a lot of interest for the club. We are meeting with Rob Bradley, The Chairman of LCFC on Thursday of this week, and the final plans and semantics will be discussed their. We are also hoping that Nigel Dennis the Imps Stadium Manager will be attending too. We want this to be hig profile and bring the plight of The Imps to the attention of the people of Lincolnshire."
Shane Clarke, another of the other founder members said :
"We're doing this becuase we all love the club. It needs our help, and we're not going to sit around and watch out club go under without trying to help"
The Imps have publicly outlined their plight at various open meetings, and have admitted that the immediate picture is bleak. Let's hope that this bunch of fundraisers can bring in some more cash to attempt to ease Lincoln City's plight
