Darlington kept their play-off hopes alive, while inflicting a major blow to Lincoln's top-seven aspirations, with a 4-2 win at the 96.6 TFM Darlington Arena.
All the goals came in a frantic second half as the Quakers secured only their second win in nine games. The defeat was Lincoln's second in succession, just seven days after their put five past Grimsby.
The win for the Quakers leaves them just four points outside the play-off places and they could cut that deficit to just one point when they travel to Rochdale on Tuesday night.
Guy Bates opened the scoring in 48th minutes after Nathaniel Brown failed to clear a ball into the area and he was on hand to head past Imps keeper Alan Marriot.
But Lincoln were soon level when Marvin Robinson headed past Sam Russell five minutes later.
Quakers skipper Matthew Clarke restored their lead in the 56th minute, before Jamal Johnson added a third in spectacular fashion four minutes later. Latching on to Joe Kendrick's pass, the American took the ball past Colin Cryan before unleashing a thunderous effort into the top corner of the net.
Substitute Gary Birch attempted to reduce the arrears but his overhead volley sailed wide.
Johnson then grabbed his second goal with 20 minutes remaining. After a neat exchange of passes with Bates, Johnson used his pace to move past his marker before poking the ball under Marriot.
Jamie Forrester pulled a goal back in the 76th minute but that proved a little more then a consolation for the visitors as Quakers returned to winning ways.
