Lincoln City overcame promotion-chasing Wycombe thanks to a second-half wonder goal.
A scrappy game in blustery conditions looked to be heading for a goalless draw until the Imps took the lead midway through the second half.
After that the home team completely dominated the game and Wycombe needed some excellent saves from keeper Frank Fielding to save them from a hiding.
The victory earned Lincoln manager Peter Jackson's team their sixth win in seven games.
Jackson, who was presented with the February manager of the month award before kick-off, was given a standing ovation as he took his place in the dug-out.
The manager will be away from his desk from Monday undergoing radiotherapy treatment for throat cancer and is not expected back until the summer.
His players responded with an inspired performance.
Lincoln could have taken the lead in the sixth minute but Fielding did well to keep out a powerful shot from Jamie Forrester.
Wycombe's Leon Knight was yellow carded for a late challenge on Lincoln defender Lee Beevers.
Beevers then made a mistake which allowed Russell Martin a half chance and the Wycombe defender was narrowly wide with a shot from 20 yards.
Lincoln hit back almost immediately and Louis Dodds set up Ben Wright, but the striker's first-time shot was inches wide.
Wycombe dominated the early stages of the second half but fell behind in the 66th minute.
A 30-yard pass from Lenell John-Lewis found Dodds on the edge of the box and the midfielder hit a first-time shot into the top corner.
Lincoln almost increased their lead six minutes later when substitute Dany N'Guessan broke through but his shot was blocked by Fielding.
The Wycombe defence was opened up again in the 79th minute, but Fielding produced another excellent save to keep out of shot from John-Lewis.
Fielding saved well again from N'Guessan late on with Forrester blasting the rebound over the empty net.
