Hereford saw off fellow League Two strugglers Lincoln to earn their place in the third round of the FA Cup with a 4-3 victory in a pulsating encounter.
In what proved to be a goal-fest, the Bulls took a fourth-minute lead when Mathieu Manset fired in a left-foot shot before Lincoln drew level two minutes later through Jamie Clapham's close-range effort.
Goals continued to flow with Delroy Facey forcing the ball home to put the Imps ahead. Hereford kept pushing forward and were rewarded when Stuart Fleetwood swept home an equaliser and then scored a spectacular long-range effort to give them the lead at the break.
Lincoln equalised again when Ashley Grimes scored with an effort into the top corner, while Hereford, who twice hit the woodwork, were unlucky when Janos Kovacs missed an easy header.
But 18 minutes from time Kenny Lunt set up Manset for the winner.
Hereford finished with 10 men after Ryan Green, booked earlier, was dismissed into stoppage time for a deliberate handball.
