Wanted man?
Enigmatic Lincoln City boss Keith Alexander has moved to calm fans' fears after
fresh reports linking him with the vacant Grimsby Town job.

According to Radio Humberside reports Alexander is stalling on signing an Imps contract extension and will join the Mariners in the summer. Alexander is out of contract in June and would be free to leave for nothing, with Second Division Town paying no compensation to City for the man who led them to The Millenium Stadium last season.

But, Alexander, who has been offered a 30-month extension to his current deal, has poured scorn on the claims.

"That is absolutely disgraceful reporting," said Alexander. "There is no
truth in that whatsoever and for them to suggest stuff like that is
outrageous.

"I don't know how many times it needs saying, but I have not spoken to
anyone at Grimsby Town.

"I have agreed a contract with Lincoln, it's reached a satisfactory
conclusion and I will be signing it in the near future."
