Impressive run halted by suspension
The pair allegedly came to blows following a row the previous evening. Solid details are sketchy on the incident that came just days before the disapointing 3-1 defeat at Spotland.

Richardsons season is going from bad to worse. After injuring himself in the pre season clash with Watford it took Richardson three months to get an opportunity to impress. He was duly sent off for an innocuos looking ariel challenge in the 1-1 draw with Chester City. Despite a couple of goals against Yeovil and Northampton Richardson has always been on the fringe since his move from Hartlepool last season.

Toner on the other hand has a seemingly bright future with the Imps. He waited patiently for his chance earlier on this season, then a Peter Gain injury forced Toner into the team. A brace of goals comes as a bonus from eight impressive outings in the City midfield prior to Thursdays development.

Both players are suspended on full pay with the club expected to make an announcement next week.
