Ex Imp carpeted by Football Association

Imps put Ellison in the shop window only for him to ram raid Sincil Bank just weeks later
The bald Chester ‘star’ was carpeted for his behaviour in the recent 1-1 draw between the two clubs. Ellison spent a period on loan at City last season but chose to sign for the Welsh outfit in the pre season. He scored what proved to be the equalising goal last month that led to ugly scenes inside Sincil Bank. Following his controversial and illegal leveller Ellison proceeded to head over to the fans who three months previous were cheering his name and launch into a wholly inappropriate and vulgar celebration. Some elements of the City crowd took offence to this and aimed a pie in Ellisons direction. The supporter was then forcibly removed from the ground.

Lincolnshire Police Football Intelligence Officer Andy Pearson received a number of complaints and promptly reported Ellison to the FA. "I wrote to the FA explaining to them that the club is already under investigation for several pitch invasions which have occurred this season.” “I also pointed out there is a large hooligan group attached to the club who we seem to be on top of. The last thing Lincoln City need is a player inciting the crowd when so much work is being done to remove any kind of problem at Sincil Bank.” "The FA agreed with my views, and have since written to the player to warn him about his actions. They have told me any further incidents he may be involved in will be dealt with more severely.”

An FA spokesman confirmed: "A letter has been sent to a Chester City player following the game at Lincoln City on September 25."
