Imps draw Premiership opposition in Carling Cup

Keith - Will be happy with the draw despite an away tie
The tie is just reward for their sterling effort in despatching of Championship side Crewe Alexandra and mirrors last years tie against Birmingham after beating Championship Derby County.

The Imps and Fulham have a colourful history with recent matches against them seeing us miss out on promotion to then Div Two (now The Championship) by just one point in 1982. Many fans will fondly recall a 4-1 victory at Sincil Bank in the mid nineties and also a 2-1 defeat against a Kevin Keegan inspired Fulham during our brief appearance in then Div Two now League One six years ago.

Imps fan Gary Hutchinson commented "The draw could have been more favourable with Fulham coming to the Bank, but once again its a great chance for the lads to show what they can do against Premiership opposition. After Tuesdays mauling of Crewe anyything is possible."
