City supremo Keith Alexander has promised fans his side will be bolder pushing forward in the coming weeks following two 1-1 home draws against Boston and lowly Scunthorpe United.
Although the Imps have only lost twice at Sincil Bank this season, they have
drawn eight out of 16 league matches which is the highest total of any club
in the entire Football League - level with Coventry City, Barnsley,
Sheffield Wednesday and Scunthorpe.
After being held in their last two games at home by Boston and now the Iron
on Saturday, Alexander's side are now under pressure to get a result
tomorrow night at York City if they are to continue their push towards Division Two.
"While I thought the Boston draw was a fair result last week, I certainly
think we should have beaten Scunthorpe on Saturday," said the City boss.
"Apart from four other clubs, we have drawn more games at home than anyone
else which is not helping us.
"We need to be bolder at home and that's something I'll be drumming into the
players because someone has to get hold of a game by the scruff of the neck.
"I'm not talking about selection because we are already playing with three
up-front. I want people to go past a player instead of passing when the
opportunity is there to do so.
"Our away form has been excellent, but if we keep dropping points at home
then we'll be putting ourselves under enforced pressure to go away and get
three points."
